I made a difficult decision yesterday.

Three National Republican outside groups are attacking Mark right now, and it’s clear that this is just the start.

So, I looked at our numbers. With attacks ramping up this early, we’re going to need more resources to fight back. The money isn’t in the budget at this point in the race, so I gave the green light — we’re raising our goals.

This decision is a risk. We’re counting on lots of people like you to help us reach it, because we cannot get caught without the resources we need to win as we get closer to the election.

But the bigger risk was doing nothing.

So, the bet I made is that if we asked, you’d come through for Mark and help fill in the budget gap. I hope that you will. Control of the Senate is on the line:
