Friend,
When the Supreme Court finally comes out with their ruling on the
Dobbs v. Jackson case, the result either way will determine the future
of the Pro-Life Movement.
In his heavy-hitting article in The American Mind, Frank Cannon
analyzes what it will mean if Roe v. Wade is overturned, and how
unprepared many establishment conservatives are for such a scenario.
As he points out, many mainstream conservatives have been content to
push the abortion issue onto the courts, and throw up their hands
rather than be proactive. If the courts finally overturn Roe, that
will mean the ball will be back in our court, and the question will
be: will think-tanks and politicians be willing to stand up for life,
or will they continue to throw up their hands?

The other possibility is of course that
the Supreme Court will not overturn Roe. That possibility would open
up another set of problems conservatives will have to grapple with. If
the institutions and judges put in place aren't capable of overturning
an unconstitutional and evil ruling, we may have to go back to the
drawing board altogether.
Ultimately, what is truly at stake are the millions of unborn
babies who will lose their lives if Roe is not overturned. As Cannon
writes:
"Ending abortion would have the same effect, in terms of lives
saved, as simultaneously curing Alzheimer’s, diabetes, influenza,
pneumonia, and cancer."
The number of Americans who will never be
born because they were murdered in the womb is mind boggling. We owe
it to future generations, yet to be born, to end this evil practice.
