Mitch McConnell just gave Herschel Walker—the ex-football player and financial scammer Donald Trump hand-picked to oust Senator Raphael Warnock—a major gift: unequivocal, election-defining Republican Party establishment support.
Now 74% of Republicans in Georgia say they will vote for Walker compared with just 6% who support his closest rival. And Trump's furious, riled-up base has poured $3.7 million into Walker's campaign in just the first five weeks.
Voting rights champion Raphael Warnock is in serious trouble. Because if Trump and McConnell can successfully suppress the vote in Georgia in 2022—a state Joe Biden won by only 0.3% in 2020—Herschel Walker will defeat Raphael Warnock, and Mitch McConnell will control the Senate once again.
