Maryland’s next Attorney General is going to be on the frontlines of the fight to stand up against the NRA and protect our common-sense gun safety measures in court.

So when we’re thinking about who we want in our Attorney General’s office, let’s choose Anthony Brown, who has already done the work in Congress to prove that he can build safer and stronger communities for all Marylanders.

Anthony helped pass background checks on all gun purchases. And he stood with the students of Parkland by introducing a bill that even Donald Trump said he supported to prohibit anyone under the age of 21 from buying an assault-style weapon. But Anthony wants to go even further and whole-heartedly supports an outright ban on these assault weapons.

We know that our work is not done. Right now, the corporate gun lobby is doing everything it can to overturn our gun safety laws in court. It’s going to fall to our next Attorney General to stand up and fight back for the people of Maryland, and tell the court exactly where we stand.
