$768 billion dollars. That is how much we are willing to spend on defense spending — $24 billion more than the Pentagon or President Biden requested.
Budgets are moral documents. They are a clear indication of our values and priorities as a nation. If we can afford billions in defense spending, we can and must invest in our communities and pass the Build Back Better Act.
As we enter the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is clear that our priorities should be helping working families facing threats to their livelihoods, not spending billions of dollars on a bloated defense budget.
In times of crisis, we must not only look out for one another but also be able to look to our government to prioritize those issues which keep Americans safe and healthy. Contribute today to help Ro continue fighting for policies and programs that will help working families.
