John,
I hear a lot from my constituents about rising
housing prices, especially in the Atlanta area. Recent reporting
has even shown that housing prices in Atlanta are some of the
fastest rising of any city in the U.S.
That’s why made sure to include wide-ranging
provisions for housing aid in the Build Back Better Act,
including investments in public housing and rental assistance.
But before we jump into the details, please
consider $5 or more today to keep housing advocacy at the top of
the House agenda.

So, what are the investments House Democrats
committed to alleviate the housing crisis? Here are just a few
solutions:
* $24 billion for Housing Choice Vouchers, helping
low-income households rent a unit of their choice in the private
market.
* $65 billion to preserve and rebuild affordable housing,
reducing health hazards and increasing energy efficiencies.
* And billions more to help build or preserve tens of thousands
of rental homes and increase the supply of affordable housing
through the national Housing Trust Fund.
These investments are not only aimed at lowering
housing costs, but also at ensuring America’s children are
supported with safe, stable housing.
But there’s no guarantee that Build Back Better
will pass the Senate. I urge my Senate colleagues to pass this
legislation and get Americans the help they need as soon as
possible.
If you believe we need to continue to alleviate
the housing crisis by passing legislation such as Build Back
Better, please contribute today to keep housing affordability at
the top of the House agenda in 2022 and beyond.
