I am reaching out to you because I am excited about the opportunity for us to supportArt in Action. For over 39 years, Art in Action (AiA) has delivered comprehensive visual art education programs to over 80,000 students across the nation. As a current Board member, I have witnessed the creativity and learning opportunities our organization continues to provide. While the pandemic is constantly changing the learning environment, our organization has stepped up to meet these challenges for students, their families, and communities.
AiA programs build creative confidence and critical thinking skills students can carry throughout their schooling years and beyond.
AiA lessons not only help develop critical thinking skills, but also teach cultural understanding, S.T.E.A.M, art appreciation, and techniques. Our virtual instruction offers dynamic lessons that feature artists, creative concepts, and introspective discussions. The hybrid delivery model makes it adaptable for in-person and virtual classes, especially important during a period of changing learning environments.
The emotional, cultural, and economic ravages of the pandemic have greatly impacted arts education programs and philanthropic sources of income. I am proud of how AiA’s Executive Director, Mary Carbullido, and her dedicated team have navigated these turbulent and worrisome conditions.
Every school year, AiA lifts the spirits and hope of students and the community they serve through our art programs. My family will be making a donation to AiA, and I hope you will consider making adonation too. Our support is key if AiA is going to continue bringing this critical learning program into the future. I believe that every child deserves art. Won’t you join me in supporting the AiA mission and giving all students access to quality arts education?
