Democrats held total control in Virginia for two years. The accomplishments we’ve been able to make in these last two years have been extraordinary.

Virginia Democrats abolished the death penalty and codified voting rights in a southern state, folks. We expanded medicare, ratified the ERA, restored voting rights, passed meaningful legislation on gun control and LGBTQ rights, reduced the cost of prescription drugs like insulin, created thousands of jobs, and when the Trump administration abdicated its duty to protect its citizens during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Virginia Democrats stood up and steered our Commonwealth through it.

We have so much to be proud of, but November’s elections remind us that there is still so much we have to work on. We need to make sure everyone knows the good that Democrats have done, the ways that we’ve made their lives better and their voices heard.

Believe me, we’ve been working hard to meet this moment and develop plans to win in 2022. It started with the post-election debriefs that our senior leadership have been hosting all across Virginia, but it can’t stop there. That’s why I’m asking for your support.

We have congressional elections coming up next year and potentially the entire slate of House of Delegates seats up for election again as well.
