Friend -- I'm worried.

Worried about what the Republican Party will do next year in its effort to flip the House.

Worried that extremist Republicans like Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene will become the party's standard-bearers. ("We are going to take power after this next election," Rep. Gaetz said in a news conference last week, flanked by Rep. Greene.)

I'm reaching out today to make sure you know the stakes, and to humbly ask you to support my campaign so Democrats can hold the House next year.

I ran for Congress because I'm an optimist, but optimism doesn't mean I never worry. It means I look at our problems head-on and never lose faith we can solve them.

But extremist Republicans aren't in D.C. to solve problems. They see districts like ours as their sure path to take back the majority and stop progress. That's why multiple Republican candidates have raised their hands to run against me. And after seeing so many suburban districts swing heavily to the right this year, they think this seat is theirs for the taking.

But we can send a message that they're wrong. Our official fundraising numbers for the year, which we'll publicly release just weeks from now, are going to show party insiders how difficult – or easy – it will be to flip this seat.

If 350 grassroots donors chip in by Wednesday, we'll send a message that this district is staying in the fight for progress. Will you be one of them?

Thanks for reading this and for chipping in if you’re able. Your support means so much.

Many thanks,

Dean
