It's time for the Senate to pass the Build Back Better Act -- Americans can't wait.

For a very long time now, we've been calling on our leaders to pass transformative policies that address the challenges households face every day, John. Americans need action to address exorbitant prices for life-saving medication, tax relief for homeowners, and accessible, affordable child-care for growing families.

Issues like these are not insurmountable. That's why the Democratic House stepped up, by passing President Biden's Build Back Better Act.

But while the House works to pass powerful, commonsense laws, the Senate remains in a stalemate of partisan gridlock. We’re so close to the finish line. Now is the time to make our voices heard.

Our government has a unique opportunity right now to uplift working people and families across America. Even though the Build Back Better Act isn't perfect, it will address many critical challenges our neighbors face every day.

Here are just some things provided for in the Build Back Better Act:

- An expansion of Medicare to cover hearing care for our seniors.

- Universal paid family and medical leave as well as reductions in the cost of child-care for children under the age of six-years-old.

- An historic investment to combat climate change that paves the road to cut our greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030, ensure clean air and water for our children, and increase our resilience to extreme weather.

We simply cannot wait any longer to start making progress. We don't want safe drinking water; we need it to live. Working families don't want childcare; we need it to support ourselves and contribute to the economy.
