For the first time in more than a decade, the Supreme Court is hearing a case that could have serious implications for gun safety in our country. The case is a challenge to New York gun-safety laws and if the justices decide in favor of the gun lobby, it could roll back gun-safety laws not only in New York but also in other states across the country with similar laws on the books -- including Maryland. We’ve worked hard in Maryland to address the epidemic of gun violence and strengthen gun-safety rules to keep our loved ones, our neighbors, and our communities safe. This Supreme Court case jeopardizes our efforts.
