ICYMI, we had some good and bad news from the U.S. Supreme Court last week.

The bad news: The U.S. Supreme Court REFUSED the Biden administration’s request to block S.B. 8, Texas’s draconian 6-week abortion ban, and in doing so turned their back on Texans and their constitutional right to a safe and legal abortion.

The good news: SCOTUS announced that they would allow providers to continue to fight back by challenging this law.

The fight is more urgent than ever. Roe v. Wade is dangerously close to being overturned, and abortion may be almost entirely outlawed in more than 20 states by this summer. We cannot take our reproductive freedom for granted. With 2022 just around the corner, and an eye for the upcoming midterm elections, it’s time to prioritize getting women into the rooms where decisions about our bodies are being made.
