In addition to reviewing all the highlights and accomplishments from this past year, we are hosting a panel discussion on the privatization of education and the overarching impact it has on our democracy. We’ve invited Professor Noliwe Rooks, author of the award winning book, Cutting School: Privatization, Segregation, and the End of Public Education, Donald Cohen, founder and executive director of In The Public Interest and co-author of The Privatization of Everything, and Charles Siler, a former Koch network lobbyist and current pro-public education consultant to join us in conversation as we envision what education can truly look like when focusing on the common good instead of corporate influence and control. Join us in saying goodbye to 2021, and coming together collectively to continue this important work in the new year.
