We have a lot of opponents in TX-28. Ted Cruz just added himself to the list by endorsing a Republican in the race who used to work for him. There’s also Henry Cuellar who votes against abortion rights and takes a ton of campaign money from Wall Street and Big Oil.

We’re up against a lot in Jessica’s race, John. Right-wing fear mongering. The Democratic establishment. Big Oil, Big Pharma, and Wall Street. And now Ted Cruz.

Money will continue to rush into Cuellar’s campaign coffers and even more will flood in on the Republican side. Justice Democrats and Jessica don’t take a cent from corporate PACs, which is why we need your support as soon as possible. Voters will start requesting their mail-in ballots on January 1st! And in-person early voting starts on February 14th.

South Texans deserve a fighter in Congress — not a corporate crony like Cuellar, and definitely not a Ted Cruz-backed Republican. Organizing in a district as large as Jessica’s will be no easy feat, but in order to win, we’ll need to build a stronger campaign than Cuellar and our newest Republican opponent.
