John, i'm excited to share another endorsement with you today:
I'm proud to endorse Greg Casar, who is running to represent Texas' 35th District in the House of Representatives!
Last year, Texas experienced firsthand the effects of climate change when Winter Storm Uri landed in the state. The storm killed dozens of Texans and left millions without power for days — yet when their communities needed them the most, Texas Republican leaders fled the scene.
Greg was one of the few who rolled up his sleeves and stayed with his community. He fought for the resources and aid that the people of Texas deserved and called out his Republican leaders. He showed us his leadership abilities then, and I am confident will continue to demonstrate them in Congress.
What's more is that according to recent polling numbers, Greg Casar is the only candidate in a strong position to win the Democratic nomination. This is incredible momentum, John, and it's a strong sign of things to come. We must capitalize on this moment, throw our support behind Greg and our movement, and ensure that he has everything it takes to secure the nomination and go on to win this seat in Congress.
We have a real chance to elect someone who is focused on fair wages, protecting working families, Medicare for All, reproductive rights, and a functional power grid. But we can't do it alone.
