Reconciliation would deliver SALT
Mikie ran for Congress on the promise to fix the SALT deduction cap for New Jersey families. Last month, she made good on that promise when she voted to pass the Reconciliation Act through the House.
Before the harmful cap was implemented in Trump and the GOP’s 2017 tax bill, over half of NJ-11 families used the SALT deduction. But for the past four years, the cap has effectively double-taxed middle-class families in New Jersey and across the country.
The Reconciliation legislation would eliminate the SALT cap for virtually every family in NJ-11, putting money back into their pockets and helping our communities invest in our schools, first responders, and emergency services.
Mikie has always been able to count on you in the fight to fix the SALT cap for New Jersey families, but we can’t let up yet. Now, it’s up to the Senate to act.
