I’m so excited that my friend Stacey Abrams is running for Governor of Georgia. She is an exceptional leader, and I hope you’ll support our campaigns by splitting a $10 donation. [[link removed]?] But first, let me explain why it’s so important.

In 2018, Stacey narrowly lost the race for Governor against Brian Kemp — the Secretary of State in charge of overseeing the election. But in the face of that defeat, she never stopped fighting for the people of Georgia.

She went on to launch two separate organizations dedicated to fighting for voting rights in Georgia and ensuring hard-to-count communities were accurately represented in the 2020 census.

Her passion for strengthening civic participation in Georgia laid the groundwork for a Biden victory in 2020, and for Sen. Warnock and Sen. Ossoff’s historic wins securing the Democratic Senate majority.

As Republicans in Georgia put forth legislation that restricts access to the ballot box, it’s never been more important that we have someone with the clarity and conviction to be democracy’s last defense.

Winning statewide in Georgia will be a challenge, but as Stacey proved, it’s a challenge we can handle with the right organization and resources.
