I know it’s early on a Monday, John, but I just heard back from my friends over at Defend the Senate and I wanted to give you an update on their December fundraising goal.

This team has a lot of work to do in the final month of this year to help defend and expand our Senate majority in 2022. The month is off to a good start, but they need to raise $10,000 by Wednesday in order to stay on track to hit their goal.

Our Democratic Senate majority has been hard at work this year delivering for the people. Don’t believe me? Just look for yourself:

• Over 3 million new jobs were created.
• Cut child poverty by more than 40 percent.
• 440 million COVID vaccine doses have been administered.
• Passed the largest single infrastructure investment in American history.

But just because we are delivering on our promises doesn’t mean the majority is guaranteed. Mitch McConnell and his allies will do anything to regain control, so we have to be ready to fight hard.

So back to the part where you can help. Defend the Senate has a big fundraising goal to hit this month. If we can help them out by raising $10,000 by Wednesday they’ll be well positioned to elect Democrats and defend our Senate majority next year.
