In just a moment, I’m going to ask you to make a contribution before midnight to my re-election campaign. Please give me the chance to explain why I need your support – especially today.

Ever since I was elected, Republicans have targeted my seat. As a Black woman, an activist, and a mother on a mission speaking truth to power – it’s no secret why I’m one of their top targets. Telling my son Jordan’s story in the halls of Congress is the gun lobby’s worst nightmare come true.

Last month, Republicans tried to draw me right out of Congress, moving my current district +26 points to Trump. But John, I won’t let Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and the GOP tell us when our work in Congress is done.

As a result, returning to Congress in 2022 – and running in a brand new district – is going to be a tremendous challenge, and one that will take a lot of hard work and resources. The only way for us to win this race is by reaching all of our fundraising goals, and with an FEC deadline coming up at the end of the year, we have a major goal to hit this month.
