Since President Biden was inaugurated, the Democratic House delivered on the promises we made during the campaign.

We passed a historic bipartisan infrastructure bill that will make much-needed investments into communities across the country and help tens of thousands of people.

We passed the Build Back Better Act. I can talk about this for days, but here are the highlights:

Expansion of Medicare benefits and lower prescription drug costs
Universal, free pre-k
The biggest clean-energy investment in the nation’s history
Expansion of the Child Tax Credit
Billions of dollars toward low-income housing
Paid family leave
All of these will help create high-quality jobs and strengthen the economy in Delaware and across the country
Now, Republicans have had two focuses since January 2021: block the progress we’ve made and take back control of Congress.

So far, we’ve been able to pass all this historic legislation despite the efforts of Kevin McCarthy and Republicans in Congress. Now, we’ve got to make sure we keep these Democratic majorities so the GOP doesn’t reverse everything we’ve done.

That is why our 2021 end-of-year goal is so important.
