First off. A HUGE thank you to everyone who attended the public hearing on Xcel Energy's electric plan on December 2nd. The event was scheduled to end at 6pm, but the turnout was so large that the event was extended past 7:30pm. In fact our DSA Watch Party had to wrap up before the hearing ended. A huge thanks to those of you who came out for that too. Socialists know how to party.

The momentum is on our side in this fight. The Public Utility Commission has been hearing loud and clear from the people that they need to hold Xcel's feet to the fire and close their dirty coal and gas plants that are polluting Latinx, working class neighborhoods in Denver and Boulder.

Still, this whole process is a bit more under the radar than we'd like. News outlets haven't given it the attention it deserves. The more light we can shine on the process, the better our chances that the PUC rule in our favor for swift and bold climate action.

We're giving the news something to report on by holding a rally this Friday.

Come rally outside the PUC's office with your ugliest sweaters, santa hats, and anything else to bring that fiery holiday cheer & call on the commissioners to honor Colorado's clean energy vision and deny the settlement!
