Two long-time supporters have pledged to donate not just $1, but $2 for every $1 donated by you and your fellow members this year-end giving season.
Not only that, if you start a new monthly gift, the Wilson Charitable Trust will match your gift AGAIN, and you'll unlock a total of $3 with every $1 you donate your first 12 months.
5,482 members - including 237 in District of Columbia - have already had their gifts matched, contributing a combined total of more than $777,000 and already putting us one-quarter of the way to our $3.5 million goal!
Will you keep the momentum going by becoming the next person in District of Columbia to make a year-end donation to put a cleaner, healthier world within reach?

Thanks to you, we scored some big wins this year on behalf of current and future generations. Together, we laid critical groundwork for a not-too-distant future where healthy communities and ecosystems will flourish.
Here are just a few of the victories your advocacy and donations led to:
* We’re going to cut our climate pollution in half by 2030. Your advocacy provided a groundswell of grassroots support. And our clean energy experts released a carefully researched report detailing the concrete steps we can take to halve our climate pollution by 2030, and used it to help secure the public support of more than 400 global companies.
* By 2030, half of all new vehicles sold in the U.S. will emit zero pollution. EDF President Fred Krupp was with President Biden in Washington, D.C. when he announced this ambitious target. Once again, your tireless grassroots activism together with our expert outreach to influential stakeholders - like auto manufacturers, union auto workers and state officials - provided the perfect one-two punch to notch this victory.
* Governments working to protect their tropical forests are set to receive $1 billion (and counting) in funding to aid their efforts. EDF helped establish Lowering Emissions by Accelerating Forest finance (LEAF) to aggressively channel money into tropical forest protection. Nearly two dozen countries, collectively home to more than a billion acres of tropical forest, have already submitted funding proposals.
And we have bold and ambitious goals for the year ahead! As we look back with pride on what we accomplished this year, our top priorities for 2022 will be:
* Slashing methane pollution from the oil and gas sector - the fastest, most cost-effective way to slow global warming in the near term,
* Cutting carbon pollution from transportation and electricity, and
* Harnessing the power of nature to protect our communities against ever-increasing climate-related threats.
Your year-end gift will go at least three times as far to build on our hard-won progress, thanks to a $2-for-$1 match that triples your one-time gift's impact, and a bonus $1-for-$1 match that maximizes your impact when you choose monthly giving:
