This weekend, our state experienced the most severe tornado event in its history. As I visited communities impacted by this weather, I was absolutely heartbroken by the destruction.

My thoughts are with every Kentuckian impacted by this storm. Know that the entire Commonwealth is standing with you -- you have our support and you have our prayers.

I also want to personally thank every local EMS employee, police officer, firefighter and first responder who have worked to keep as many Kentuckians safe as possible.

Kentuckians are strong, but they need our support and I'm committed to getting them the resources they need to recover. That's why I've formed the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund to assist those impacted by the tornados and the severe weather system.
