I have an important ask to make ahead of our end of the year fundraising deadline tonight at midnight. I hope you’ll give me a minute to explain why this is so important.

After the end of our official fundraising deadline on New Year’s Eve, we’re going to report our fundraising numbers for this quarter. We have to put up a strong showing. But there’s another reason why this is so important.

We’re running against at least one candidate with the backing of a $10 million Super PAC and another who has committed to spending $50 million in this election. We actually have FIVE opponents in total so far. We’ve endured millions of dollars in attack ads already, with more on the way. And Donald Trump flew to Arizona and directly attacked our campaign.

So I need your help to keep up the momentum in the face of these challenges. It’s going to take lots of people making donations of $3, $5, or $10 to get us to our 50,000 contribution goal by midnight.

My team tells me we’re close, and if we can get there, it’ll show that our campaign is more determined than ever to defend this seat. You can see how important this is, which is why I have to ask:

If you’re able, will you make a $25 donation -- split with Debbie Stabenow -- to our people-powered campaign? The amount isn’t as important as the donation itself.

As you know, losing even one seat means losing control of the Senate.
