SIGN THE PETITION: DEMAND CONGRESS PASS COMMON SENSE GUN LEGISLATION NOW >>>
Gun violence has been an epidemic in our country for too long, John. Domestic violence, mass shootings, and hate crimes don’t happen in a vacuum.
Nearly two weeks ago, four more children in Oxford, Michigan were added to the long list of mass shooting statistics.
- Sandy Hook Elementary School, December 14, 2012 — 26 dead, two wounded.
- Charleston, South Carolina, June 17, 2015 — 9 dead.
- Parkland, Florida, February 14, 2018 — 17 dead, 17 wounded.
- Atlanta, Georgia, March 16, 2021 — 8 dead, one wounded.

Thoughts and prayers mean nothing without action. We don’t have to live in a country where mass shootings are just another fact of life.
The NRA and GOP are spewing propaganda to keep the gun industry executives rich. Here’s the worst part — Sen. Mitch McConnell has repeatedly rejected Democrats’ efforts to pass common-sense gun legislation since the Sandy Hook shooting in 2012.
And he continues to stand in the way of making meaningful change.
Passing a bill for universal background checks, closing gun purchasing loopholes, and protecting our communities should be common sense. But Republicans say no.
It’s time to stand up and say enough is enough. Sign our petition to demand Congress pass common-sense gun legislation, now!
Let's get it done.
