The financial industry preys on the working poor with exploitative practices like outrageously high interest "payday loans" and debilitating overdraft fees that make it very expensive to be poor in America.

25% of all households in the U.S. either don't have a bank or are very underbanked, and it goes all the way up to nearly 50% for Black and Latino households.

That's why we support a proposal long championed by our founder, Bernie Sanders: to offer free banking at post offices! Add your name to stand with Bernie and demand that postal banking be added to the 2022 budget appropriations bill!

Not only would postal banking be a game-changer for working families and rural America, but it would also be a new revenue source for the postal service.

With Republicans actively working to destroy the post office, this additional funding will go a long way.
