John,
As a parent volunteer in my neighborhood school, I’ve seen firsthand what a difference receiving the expanded Child Tax Credit each month makes to the families in my community. The expanded credit, enacted by Democrats earlier this year, has meant new shoes that fit growing feet, warm winter coats, enough food for everyone in the family, and fewer worries about how to make ends meet.
But if the Senate fails to pass the Build Back Better Act by the end of this month, those payments will be cut off in January.
Now is the time to put money in families' pockets, paid for by fairer taxes on the wealthy and corporations, not leave families out in the cold. That’s why we’re fighting for Congress to continue the expanded Child Tax Credit through 2022.
Help us drive thousands of messages directly to senators’ offices right now. Pitch in $5 or more to demand the Senate act!
The expanded Child Tax Credit is cutting childhood poverty nearly in half. We can’t let these critical monthly payments get cut off right after the holidays and just as winter heating bills are kicking in for much of the country.

John,
If the Senate doesn't pass the Build Back Better Act before the end of the year, parents will no longer receive the expanded Child Tax Credit each month, which is paid for by making the rich and corporations pay a fairer share of taxes.
The expanded CTC, which Democrats passed this past spring, is cutting childhood poverty nearly in half and providing families with monthly payments between $250 - $300 per child. But the expansion expires on December 31st, and if no action is taken, nearly 10 million children could fall back into poverty next year.[1]
We’re rallying allies across the country, driving thousands of messages directly to Senate offices demanding senators pass the Build Back Better Act this year. Grassroots efforts have been critical in fighting for the needs of our families and communities―we need your voice to get this done!
Let’s get this across the finish line. Chip in today to power our grassroots efforts and make sure families don’t get cut off from recurring Child Tax Credit payments next month!
Right now, 65 million children are benefiting from the Child Tax Credit―more than ever before. This recurring monthly payment is helping families struggling with high costs by making essential services like healthcare, childcare and housing more affordable.
The Build Back Better Act, which includes the expanded Child Tax Credit, has already passed the House. Now we need the Senate to act!
Let’s remind the Senate that if they fail to act this year, then December 15th will be the last monthly payment that families with children get. Chip in today to drive our advocacy, which is critical to passing the Build Back Better Act this year.
