Some fights you can’t win alone.The Young Democrats of Oregon are proud to support the defend DACA, home is here campaign that calls on the Supreme Court to save deferred action for childhood arrivals. On November 12th, the Supreme Court will begin their hearings that will decide the future of DACA.
On that day, the Oregon DACA Coalition has asked us to come out to Terry Schrunk Plaza at 10:30am to stand in solidarity. They will be inviting members of the community to come out and share their stories of living undocumented in Oregon. One of the goals of this rally is to shift the narrative on what the undocumented experience is.
For those of you that want to engage on a deeper level, the Oregon DACA Coalition is in need of 100 scholarships, so far they have been able to help 40 DACA recipients pay the application fee at $495 each. The coalition believes that no one raised in Oregon should have to prove and pay the government to remain in their home. Donate today and support young immigrants in Oregon.
