A year ago I joined the staff of GGJ as Director of Resource Mobilization.
There were many things that drew me to apply to be part of this fierce,
member-led, internationalist powerhouse, and the first was that title!
“RESOURCE MOBILIZATION,” is a leftist movement field of practice that
is fighting to decolonize wealth and philanthropy, and I wanted to be part
of the scale and power embedded in that vision. At GGJ, resource
mobilization is not only about the fundraising and money moving that is
required to build an internationalist, feminist, anti-racist, regenerative
economy agenda for the U.S. left, with all of the organizing, political
education, and radical infrastructure that requires. It is also part of our
broader political vision, and a commitment shared across the Sister
Alliances of IT TAKES ROOTS [3], to carry out the political project of
rematriating stolen wealth from PHILANTHROPY [4] and other wealth hoarders.
IT IS A RADICAL PRACTICE OF ABUNDANCE THAT BRINGS US TOGETHER TO LIBERATE
CAPITAL FROM CAPITALISM, TO DEMYSTIFY AND SHARE THE INFORMATION THAT
COLONIZED WEALTH LIKES TO KEEP SECRET, TO MOVE MONEY TO THE GRASSROOTS, AND
TO ORGANIZE THE GREAT TRANSFER OF WEALTH AND CAPITAL INTO THE HANDS OF OUR
COMMUNITIES AND MOVEMENTS – the Just Transition we need in order to
create an economy for life.

Resource mobilization called me into GGJ and the inspo has been non-stop
ever since! GGJ has been up to a lot this year, and in the past few months
we have been carefully experimenting with in-person actions and
mobilizations. I invite you to take in these highlights from the last few
months, and feel the life, culture and power of transformative organizing
and people’s movements!

Hace un año me uní al personal de GGJ como Directora de Movilización de
Recursos. ¡Hubo muchas cosas por las que yo quise ser parte de esta
potencia internacionalista tan feroz y dirigida por sus miembros, y la
primera fue ese título! La "MOVILIZACIÓN DE RECURSOS" es un área de
práctica del movimiento izquierdista, un esfuerzo por descolonizar la
riqueza y la filantropía, y yo quería ser parte de la escala y el poder
que conlleva esa visión. En GGJ, la movilización de recursos no es solo
una cuestión de recaudar fondos y mover el dinero necesario para avanzar
una agenda económica internacionalista, feminista, antirracista y
regenerativa para la izquierda estadounidense, con toda la organización,
educación política e infraestructura radical que esto requiere. También
es parte de nuestra visión política más general, y un compromiso común
entre las Alianzas Hermanas de IT TAKES ROOTS [3], para llevar a cabo el
proyecto político de rematriar la riqueza robada de la FILANTROPÍA [4] y
otros acaparadores de riqueza. ES UNA PRÁCTICA DE ABUNDANCIA RADICAL QUE
NOS UNE PARA LIBERAR EL CAPITAL DEL CAPITALISMO, PARA DESMITIFICAR Y
COMPARTIR LA INFORMACIÓN QUE LA RIQUEZA COLONIZADA PREFIERE MANTENER
SECRETA, PARA MOVER DINERO A LAS BASES, Y ORGANIZAR LA GRAN TRANSFERENCIA
DE RIQUEZA Y CAPITAL A MANOS DE NUESTRAS COMUNIDADES Y MOVIMIENTOS – la
Transición Justa que necesitamos para crear una economía que apoye la
vida.

¡La movilización de recursos me trajo a GGJ y no ha dejado de ser una
fuente de inspiración desde entonces! GGJ ha estado muy activa este año,
y en los últimos meses hemos estado experimentando cuidadosamente con
acciones y movilizaciones en persona. ¡Te invito a que elijas este correo

a que sientas la vida, la cultura y el poder de organizar por la
transformación y los movimientos populares!
