There's good news and bad news in this sentence from an ABC News article, John --
The good:
"While only 18 states have finished their gerrymandering process..." (meaning there's still time for you to make an impact!)
The bad:
"… nearly half a dozen highly competitive seats have been slashed from the last batch of congressional maps according to data tracked by FiveThirtyEight."
Oof. Fewer competitive seats means fewer opportunities for voters to make their voices heard in elections that truly matter. It also means fewer opportunities for Democrats to compete on a level playing field and win -- and our House of Representatives majority is already slim.
But the NDRC is fighting Republicans' map manipulation and we're making significant headway. Can you boost our work with an urgent donation today?
"I'm not being hyperbolic or alarmist -- I think our democracy is on the line."
-- A.G. Holder on a call with Tracee Ellis Ross, Ben Affleck, and Hillary Clinton
We have two choices, John -- let the GOP steal our democracy. Or fight back. We choose to fight. Will you join us? [[link removed]
