Patriot,
President Trump and Attorney General William
Barr think they've found a way to give support for "Red Flag" Gun
Confiscation Orders a boost in Congress.
In announcing a new plan allegedly designed
to stop mass shootings before they begin, Barr declared he wants
to "apply the lessons" learned from the failed War on Terrorism
to "disrupt individuals who are mobilizing toward violence."
This is just one more
step toward "thought crime."
Who do YOU think is going to be targeted by
this new PreCrime scheme?
How long will it be before politicians
declare certain cultural, political, or religious beliefs crimes
that make people like you and me targets?
It wasn't that long ago that a Missouri
"Fusion Center" affiliated with the Department of Homeland
Security issued warnings that anyone with one of my presidential
campaign's bumper stickers was a potential domestic terrorist!
Sources close to President Trump recently
touted his desire to focus on Congress enacting "mental health
legislation" to combat mass shootings.
And make no mistake Patriot, Attorney General
Barr's precrime program appears tailor-made to go hand-in-hand
with so-called "Red Flag" gun confiscation schemes.
When the public thinks about someone
suffering from mental illness, they picture schizophrenics or
sociopaths.
What they don't think about are the thousands
of veterans coming home from foreign wars or those who hold
"crazy" views like believing Big Government is bad -- and the
gun-grabbers know it.
Under programs like what Barr is describing,
our veterans will likely be the first ones disarmed through "Red
Flag" gun confiscation schemes and so-called "universal
background check" proposals like H.R. 1112, which already passed
the House this year.
If H.R. 1112 became law, veterans who receive
help managing their finances could find themselves unable to
purchase firearms if the Department of Veteran's Affairs reported
that to the FBI's National Instant Criminal Background Check
System (NICS).
I know the media and Washington, D.C. appear
to be laser-focused on impeachment, but with policies like Barr's
being formed behind the scenes, you and I can't back off for a
moment.
Our Second Amendment rights are still under
assault.
And the outcome of the battle could very well
determine the future of America.
As one of Campaign for Liberty's top
supporters, I'll be sure to keep you updated on this fight as it
develops.
But in the meantime, I hope you'll consider
signing up for Campaign for Liberty's Patriot Club monthly
contributor program for just $10 or even $25 a month to ensure we
have the resources to turn up the heat on the gun-grabbers in
Washington, D.C. at a moment's notice.
Patriot Club members tell me they love the
satisfaction they have knowing they're a part of the fight for
our liberties day-in and day-out.
Of course, I realize not everyone can commit
to a making a monthly contribution right now. If that's the
case, I hope you'll chip in a generous $35 contribution to help
Campaign for Liberty keep the pressure on Congress by mobilizing
patriotic Americans like you to fight back.
Thanks in advance for your generous support
and for all you do for the cause of liberty.
For Liberty,
Ron Paul
Chairman
