With so much going on in this unprecedented year, it can be easy to forget just how much work that this whole team has accomplished together. But don’t worry, that’s why the team at LPC HQ has been keeping track all year long! 😉
The Liberal team started off the year by continuing to do everything it takes to keep Canadians safe and supported, including moving fast to deliver millions of vaccine doses to provinces and territories. Today, more than 62.4 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered, kids are now getting protected quickly with vaccines as well, and more than 85% of eligible Canadians have received at least one dose.
Fast forward to April, when Chrystia Freeland presented Budget 2021 and outlined our Liberal government’s important commitments for Canadians, including making $10 -a-day child care a reality from coast to coast to coast. Today, our Liberal government has already signed 9 agreements to create more quality and affordable spaces all across the country!
And while O’Toole’s Conservatives worked to roll back our progress, we have stayed focused on what matters: you, and building a better future for all Canadians. April also saw thousands of Canadians join us to share ideas at our 2021 Liberal National Convention – the largest policy convention in our party’s history.
Then, on August 15, we kicked off the 2021 election campaign – and on September 20, Canadians chose to send our Liberal team back to work for a third mandate to keep Canada moving forward, for everyone.
Since then, our team has already been hard at work to continue building on our important progress for Canadians and deliver on your priorities. Together, we’ll continue to do everything it takes to end this pandemic and keep Canadians healthy, we’ll grow a more resilient economy, take even bolder climate action, fight harder for safer communities, stand up for diversity and inclusion, move faster on the path of reconciliation, fight for a secure, just, and equitable world, and so much more.
