Friend -- My Dad will always be my hero. After serving in the Army, he went to work parking cars on the Las Vegas Strip. He eventually worked his way up to become head of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and helped build the city we know today. Dad taught me that with hard work and respect for others, I could overcome any obstacle and accomplish anything. So I took my Dad’s lessons and dedicated my life to protecting and serving my community. I became Nevada’s Attorney General and took on the Big Banks that preyed on our communities during the financial crisis. Then, I overcame nearly $50 million spent to defeat me by Mitch McConnell and the GOP and became the first Latina and first woman from Nevada to ever be elected to the Senate. I won by just two points. The fight ahead of us -- to keep Nevada blue and protect our razor-thin Senate majority -- will be even harder. New polling shows me 2 points behind my Trump-endorsed opponent. But with the work ethic I learned from my Dad, and your help, I know we can win.
The truth is, our Senate majority hinges on Nevada and the latest news on the ground is deeply concerning: FIRST: Mitch McConnell’s allies poured over $2 million into attack ads to try and defeat me. THEN: The Cook Political Report officially downgraded my chances of winning and CNN called me one of the most vulnerable Senators up for re-election. NOW: Recent polling shows me losing by 2 points, and as of now, I’m falling dangerously short of my rapid-response fundraising goal. I urgently need your help to make up the gap before midnight. Falling short could cost me this race and could cost Democrats the Senate, so please: Can I count on you? Thanks for giving what you can, friend. Together, I know we can do this. ¡La lucha sigue! The fight continues! Catherine
