Every time a member of Trump’s inner circle refuses to cooperate with Congress, it begs the question in my mind: what are they trying to hide?

There are now at least 5 people trying to skirt the authority of the January 6th Committee and refusing to sit down and answer questions under oath. First we voted to hold Steven Bannon in criminal contempt of Congress. Now Trump’s Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, and a former member of Congress I might add, is following down the exact same path.

Meadows should know better than to try and skirt the authority of our Congressional oversight. He knows exactly what he is doing.

I’ll be very clear about this: If Mark Meadows refuses to cooperate with the January 6th committee and they vote to hold him in contempt like they did with Steven Bannon, I will do the same when it reaches the House floor. This is about protecting our democracy and defending the rule of law.

I’m afraid that our House majority is only 3 seats away from turning over to GOP extremists if we don’t fight back. Our race will determine that outcome. Can you please send in a donation now to help us keep the most competitive seat in California blue?

If you thought this couldn’t get any worse, Mark Meadows is also releasing a new book that says Trump lied about when he first tested positive for COVID-19, putting multiple Gold Star families at risk.

Every day we learn new information that leaves me shocked, but not surprised. That’s exactly why we have to stay focused and do everything we can to retain control of the House next year.
