Over the summer, Montana really felt the effects of climate change through droughts, fires, minimal crop yields, and floods. By withdrawing Montana from a bipartisan coalition of more than two dozen states committed to upholding the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement, which include net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, Governor Gianforte made it very clear that he is not interested in combating climate change or helping his people.

Just two days after withdrawing, he announced on Twitter that he expected the federal government to clean up his mistakes:

We can only fight climate change by being proactive, not by relying on the Federal government to step in and clean up the mess our Republican governor created. Please help us defeat Gianforte by chipping in any amount to MDP today.
