Just as we predicted, Republicans are gaining momentum going into 2022 since the results of Virginia’s gubernatorial race. Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy even boasted that he believes his party has the potential to flip over 70 seats in next year’s midterm elections.

Right now, Democrats have a razor-thin majority of only five seats. If Republicans really took back 70 seats, it would be detrimental to all of the progress we’ve made in the past four years.
