Former East Bay Area State Assemblyman Rob Bonta is the first Asian American man to serve as the state’s Attorney General! Bonta’s racial justice and anti-hate crime focus has earned our Board’s unanimous support.

“In just his first few months in office, AG Bonta has taken important steps to address anti-Asian hatred and begin holding police accountable to violence and misconduct,” said AAAFund-California Chapter Chair Gautam Dutta. “He has kept his promise to hold fast to his progressive identity and ideals and now he needs the opportunity to continue this critical work.”
