John,
This week, West Virginians came together to demand that Joe Manchin stop obstructing and pass the Build Back Better Act to lower your drug prices.
Social Security Works is sending billboard trucks around West Virginia, encouraging West Virginians to call Senator Manchin’s office. Seniors, students, and political leaders met up with one of our trucks in Morgantown, WV this week and held an attention-grabbing rally:
We’re going to keep our billboard trucks on the road until the Build Back Better Act passes! We need to keep the pressure on Joe Manchin to stop obstructing! Donate $7 to keep our trucks on the road.
We’re bringing the message to the people where they need to hear it, including nursing facilities:
And if the media tries to ignore us, we can go right to their front door:
We need Joe Manchin to get out of the way and pass this bill that will lower prescription drug prices, cap insulin costs for most people, let Medicare cover hearing aids, and more.
West Virginians want this bill to pass―and they’re not shy about saying so.
WVU medical student Amanda Rahman spoke at our rally and said:
“We live in the richest country in the world. I can’t, and my classmates can’t, make our patients healthier. We can’t heal anyone who can’t afford the prices that the pharmaceutical companies are holding us ransom for.”
Keep up the pressure! Donate $7 to our billboard truck fund today!
Thanks,
Michael Phelan
