This Tuesday, November 5 is Election Day – are you ready?

This year, critical local leaders are up for election, from mayors to board of education and more. These local elections are where policies take shape that affect our daily lives – everything from affordable housing, to local development, to school curriculum, to protections for local public lands and more. This year's local elections are crucial, and your vote is needed.

With the current national atmosphere, people are more motivated than ever to vote. We need your voice this year – it makes a big difference.

I encourage to learn more about the local candidates running for office to represent you in your town. In Connecticut, polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and you can find your local polling place here.

I hope you'll join me in electing qualified Democratic candidates this Tuesday, but most importantly I hope you'll join me in voting for our future leaders.
