It’s time to vote for the 2021 AYD Awards, which will be presented at the AYD Holiday Brunch on December 18th. Voting closes Sunday, December 12th at 11:59pm.
The awards are as follows:
- Newcomer of the Year - for significant contributions and outstanding dedication to the Arlington Young Democrats
- Community Service Award - for distinguished service and contributions to the community at large⠀
- Campaigner of the Year - for outstanding commitment to electing Democrats up and down the ballot⠀⠀
- Unsung Hero - for consistently going above and beyond the call of duty in the name of service without expectation of attention or accolade
- 2020 Member of the Year - for leadership, dedication, excellence, and distinction in service to the Young Democrat community and the party⠀
- Honorable Warren G. Stambaugh Outstanding Democrat of the Year - for significant contributions and outstanding dedication to the Democratic Party

Ticket prices are $25 for active/dues-paying members and $35 for everyone else.

AYD Arlington National Cemetery Wreath Laying
On December 18th, hundreds of people will gather to lay wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery. AYD will be participating in this effort.
If you’ve never attended, it is a beautiful event to honor those who served our country. We will meet at 7:45 AM at the Ord & Weitzel Pedestrian Gate of the Arlington National Cemetery. Afterward, please consider joining us later that day for our annual Holiday Brunch happening at William Jeffrey's Tavern at 1pm.
This year, online registration is required for the wreath laying. Day of, remember to bring the registration QR code that will be emailed to you as well as a photo ID. Our registration for this event ended on December 5th, but if you want to try and join us at 8 AM, register using this link.
