Hi folks,

Did you know that in Kentucky, 7,600 people were arrested on marijuana-related charges in 2018 alone?

Did you also know that Black Kentuckians are nearly ten times more likely to be arrested for marijuana possession than their white counterparts?

An overwhelming majority of these arrests are for minor, nonviolent offenses. Still, thousands of people have their lives upended every year for a crime that unfairly targets marginalized people.

It’s time to change that.

Morgan believes that legalizing marijuana is the first step to reforming our current criminal justice system so that everyone is treated fairly under the law. It’s time to put an end to unfair and unreasonable arrests.
