Rep. Cleaver on Inflation: ‘When You Stop COVID, You Stop a Lot of Our Problems’

Thursday on the Fox News Channel’s Your World, radical Rep. Emanuel Cleaver declared it was wrong to say that the skyrocketing inflation Americans are suffering under the far-left Biden administration was transitory. He argued falsely that the inflation “was brought on by COVID” and that “when you stop COVID, you stop a lot of our problems.”

Cleaver stated, “I was one, I said earlier, probably on your show, that it’s transitory. It’s — and that was a — that was the wrong adjective. It’s not transitory. I think we are trying to address it. It was brought on by COVID. And I think when you stop COVID, you stop a lot of our problems.”

The inflation was brought on by the Big Government, anti-capitalist policies of the Biden administration. Indeed, the COVID pandemic itself has been perpetuated, if not entirely manufactured, by this administration in order to seize and maintain control over every aspect of American life, including the economy, and to fundamentally transform the United States of America.

For that reason, this administration has no intention of reining in the inflation or even of “stopping” COVID; instead, they will continue to crash the economy intentionally and to exploit the virus for their totalitarian ends.

When the Daily Caller in February 2018 contacted Cleaver and a number of his fellow Congressional Black Caucus members to ask if they would be willing to publicly denounce the notorious Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan because of his racist and anti-Semitic rhetoric, Cleaver was one of 20 who declined not only to denounce him, but also to issue any comment at all regarding his infamous anti-Semitic, anti-white rhetoric.

In early January 2021, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and fellow Democratic Rep. James McGovern — in an effort to “honor all gender identities” — introduced a resolution that would require Members of Congress to reference a father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, husband, wife, or in-law as “parent, child, sibling, spouse, or parent-in-law.” Against that backdrop, Cleaver, while delivering the opening prayer for the new session of Congress on January 4, 2020, ended the prayer with the phrase “amen and a-woman.” As conservative commentator Ben Shapiro later pointed out in a tweet: “’Amen’ is a Biblical Hebrew word: אמן. It is a word simply meaning ‘may it be so.’ It has nothing to do with the word ‘man’ or ‘woman’ because it is FROM HEBREW.”
