John — I first got connected with the National Domestic Workers Alliance in 2019. Since then, I’ve been continually inspired by the spirit and stories of the women who do the essential work of caring for our loved ones and our homes each day.
That’s why I wanted to add my voice to honor the incredible resilience of these workers and to help uplift the deeply personal work NDWA organizers do to support these women.
NDWA Chapters help nannies, housecleaners, and in-home care workers build skills with training and resources, access benefits, get support, and organize to win rights. Organizers are helping domestic workers recover stolen wages and know their rights, which is so important for tackling this outrageous exploitation of women who spend their working lives tirelessly caring for others.
If you haven’t yet, I encourage you to make a donation to support their vital work transforming lives and supporting domestic workers.
Thanks!
