The Supreme Court has made their decision, John.
This morning, the Supreme Court announced that they will allow abortion providers to challenge Texas’ draconian 6 week abortion ban — but declined the Biden Administration's request to block the law entirely.
The ruling will once again allow the most restrictive abortion law in the country to remain in effect. S.B. 8 has effectively ended reproductive freedom in Texas and criminalizes anyone who attempts to help people exercise their right to choose.
It’s long past time to start calling this ban what it is: a public health emergency. That means fighting back against this unconstitutional attack — and all unconstitutional attacks — on reproductive rights. It means codifying Roe v. Wade into federal law and expanding the Supreme Court now.

John, we can’t emphasize enough the urgency of this moment.
S.B. 8 — Texas’ abortion ban that the Supreme Court has been reviewing — bans abortions as early as six weeks, before most people even know they’re pregnant, and puts the power of enforcement in anyone’s hands. Texans have already experienced the devastating impact of this cruel ban for over 100 days
To make matters even worse, S.B. 8 is just one example of the hundreds of laws being passed around the country in an attempt to ban abortions and limit our access to reproductive freedom.
Let’s make this clear: This has been Trump and the GOP’s plan all along. This is why they stacked the Supreme Court with ultra-conservative justices like Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett. This is why Mitch McConnell confirmed a record number of anti-abortion judges to courts across the country. They have a coordinated strategy to dismantle abortion rights and we must fight back together as a movement to stop their cruel attacks on people of color, low-income communities, and the working class.
We’re proud of everything our movement has done from mobilizing at the Supreme Court, to hosting rallies across the country to hold the line for abortion justice — but it’s clear our work isn’t over yet. Fighting back against this slate of attacks is going to take each and every Women’s Marcher organizing together to make sure our rights are protected on the local and federal level.
Together,
Women’s March
