On *Monday [ [link removed] ]*, Governor DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted announced the approval of assistance for 10 projects set to create 946 new jobs and retain 2,485 jobs statewide. During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $50 million in new payroll and spur more than $296 million in investments across Ohio.

Governor Husted announced a proposal to direct hundreds of millions of dollars in grant funding to law enforcement and other first-responder agencies?to combat violent crime, recruit the next generation of first responders, and enhance wellness resources specifically for peace officers, firefighters, emergency medical services personnel, and others.?

The Governor and Lt. Governor made the announcement alongside representatives from the Ohio General Assembly, Buckeye State Sheriffs' Association (BSSA), Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police, Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ohio Prosecutor's Association, Ohio Fire Chiefs' Association, Ohio Emergency Management Agency, Ohio Fire Marshal's Office, City of Middletown, and City of Findlay.?

Lt. Governor Husted hosts a special event featuring Ohio's most innovative faculty members.

On *Tuesday*, Lt. Governor Husted, Director of InnovateOhio, hosted a special event showcasing Ohio innovators hailing from universities across the state.?"PITCH X: From Lab to Market?"is a series of videos featuring university entrepreneurs discussing their technologies, which are headed toward commercialization. The ultimate goal of the initiative is to connect university research with private sector investment as Ohio grows its innovation economy.

?In labs across Ohio, our university faculty are discovering breakthroughs, many of which could be transformative in solving some of the world?s biggest challenges,? said Lt. Governor Husted. ?PITCH X provides a platform for showcasing Ohio?s IP talent and promoting a culture of innovation throughout Ohio.?

Also on *Tuesday [ [link removed] ]*, Governor DeWine was in Marion County where he announced the third and final round of Ohio BUILDS water infrastructure grant awards, which will provide funds for more than 100 projects impacting every county in Ohio.?

Del-Co Water Company in Marion County will receive a $2.5 million grant to provide a water
distribution system for the village of Waldo. The village does not have a centralized potable water system. This project will benefit 300 people.

Governor DeWine and First Lady Fran DeWine gave students from Cedarville Elementary School a tour of the Ohio Statehouse and the Governor's office on *Tuesday*, teaching the students about the state's capitol and history.

Earlier that day, the Governor and First Lady visited?the new interactive exhibit at the Statehouse. Twenty-five years ago, the County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO) helped provide the floor map in what's now known as the Map Room in the Statehouse. This week, CCAO unveiled a display to depict the importance of the state-county relationship and teach facts about Ohio's 88 counties.?

In Cuyahoga County, First Lady DeWine held a press conference where she was joined by several other speakers to celebrate enrolling over 300,000 kids in the program.

Governor Husted. ?As Ohio continues to create jobs faster than we can fill them, it is important that TechCred adapts to the needs of employers. We are implementing updates to the program that will streamline the process for businesses, helping more Ohioans learn new skills that can lead to a higher wage.?

On *Thursday [ [link removed] ]*, Governor DeWine stopped by Mineral Ridge, a recipient of the third round of Ohio BUILDS water infrastructure grant program.?Trumbull County will receive a $3 million grant to construct an elevated water storage tank and booster pump station to stabilize pressure and volume throughout the entire Mineral Ridge Public Water System.
