Thank You & Happy Holidays
You are at the heart of everything we do. Each year, we serve hundreds of families and individuals in the community who need help. We are able to empower people through their most challenging circumstances because of dedicated supporters like you.
On behalf of the team here at Families in Transition, and all the families and individuals we serve, we extend a big "Thank You" for helping us address homelessness and food insecurity. We wish you and your family a happy holiday and a joyous new year.
Spreading Holiday Cheer
Many thanks to the Manchester Garden Club for their wonderful work decorating the Manchester shelters for the upcoming holidays. This lovely group of volunteers spent time at the Family Emergency Shelter last week and the Adult Emergency Shelter this week putting up festive decorations for participant and staff enjoyment.
Our Rebranding Continues
As part of the ongoing Families in Transition rebranding, the Adult Emergency Shelter dining room received a bright new coat of paint. This continued work ensures our buildings, both inside and out, provide a dignified place where staff and participants are proud to work and stay. Keep an eye out for additional updates to our properties.
Community Support for the Holidays
If you are looking to purchase items or hold a collection drive for the agency’s greatest needs, please review our high needs list on our website. Donations can be dropped off at the food pantry located at 176 Lake Avenue in Manchester, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Watch the 28th Annual Breakfast Video
You can still watch our Annual Breakfast video program on our Facebook and YouTube pages. The full program runs for about 20 minutes and highlights stories of our program successes, the challenges we face, and the impact your support has on our essential staff and people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. If you have not seen it, we invite you to take a look as we roll into the end of the year.
A Special Thank You to Long-Serving Volunteers
The India Association of New Hampshire is one of our longest-serving volunteer groups, they have been serving and sponsoring meals for over 20 years! Recently two members of the India Association of New Hampshire came to tour our new food pantry. They also donated over $12,500 through our Annual Breakfast fundraiser. We are grateful for their strong belief in giving back to the community. Continued support like theirs is a lifeline for our programs and services.
