Hey John,

I'm Saira Draper, Georgia Democrats’ Director of Voter Protection.

As you might know, voting in Georgia has become harder now that Republicans have passed a burdensome and discriminatory anti-voting bill, SB 202.

Since then, we've asked for your help to fund our voter protection program next year. You might be wondering, where does that money go? And why is it so important? So let's dive in. Your donations:

1. Allow us to advocate for better voting access year-round at the state and local levels.
2. Fund our voter protection hotline, which is available to anyone with questions or concerns about voting in Georgia.
3. Support election-time programs statewide, including poll watching, ballot monitoring, ballot cure, and vote review panels.
4. Help run our voter education outreach efforts in every Georgia county, so that all voters have the information they need to cast a ballot.
5. Assist our collecting of evidence to support election-related litigation.

In 2020, the voter protection team’s efforts saved enough votes to total Democrats’ margin of victory many times over. Joe Biden only defeated Donald Trump by a margin of 0.24%, and Jon Ossoff's race went to a runoff because of a margin of 0.30%. Meaning, if we didn't have a strong voter protection team last November, Democrats would not be in charge today.

2022 will be even more challenging because Republicans in Georgia's state legislature passed Senate Bill 202. So, if we want to elect Democrats in Georgia, including re-electing Senator Warnock and electing a Democratic governor, our voter protection program needs to run year-round.

Now that you know more about the program, can you please help fund our voter protection efforts by donating today? >> [link removed]

Thank you so much for your support!
