Things are heating up.
Just days ago, Convention of States presented before one of the largest gatherings of conservative state legislators in the country.
Our team came with a plan and was ready to execute.
Senator Rick Santorum delivered a fiery speech to a packed plenary breakfast, urging the states to use their Article V power to stop federal tyranny in its tracks.
Then we hosted a workshop called, “Convention of States: Leftist Plot or Plan to Save America?”
Legislators PACKED the room. Our team had to call for additional chairs, just to accommodate the crowd.
On either side of the podium, we boldly hung banners that forced legislators to intentionally CHOOSE which side of history they would stand on.
One banner featured a list of dozens of supporters of COS, including Ben Shapiro, Mark Levin, Allen West, and Ron DeSantis.
On the other side was a banner listing opponents of COS, featuring Hillary Clinton, Planned Parenthood, and George Soros.
Powerful.
But we weren’t about to stop there. We also obtained a list of state legislators in attendance at the conference and then contacted target state attendees and scheduled private meetings with high-level COS experts.
In these meetings, we were able to win over legislators who were “on the fence”, and talk high-level strategy with supportive legislators in key states for 2022.
We were also able to secure a primary sponsor in Connecticut, which means that next year, Convention of States will have officially been considered in all 50 states!
John, our battle plan for 2022 is already underway. And as of today, 46 states will kick off their legislative session in less than 45 days.
In fact, many states are preparing to make bold moves, as early as the first few weeks of January.
