| Dear Friend, Representative Devin Nunes is trying to blow up the impeachment investigation -- and it's putting the CIA whistleblower's life in danger. Nunes has been using his position on the House Intelligence Committee to try to reveal the whistleblower's identity, in service of Donald Trump.(1) The whistleblower revealed Trump's effort to trade foreign aid to Ukraine in exchange for damage to a political opponent. The whistleblower has already gotten death threats, and revealing their identity could put them in mortal danger.(2) But Nunes doesn't care about anything except currying favor with Trump. He's trying to stymie the impeachment hearings and is putting a patriot in peril -- and we're going to remind voters about his treasonous actions come reelection time. Ever since the House of Representatives opened an impeachment inquiry into Trump, Republicans have been trying to thwart it -- and Nunes is at the center of that effort. He's used every interview as an attempt to discredit witnesses, showing no interest in what Trump actually did. He's challenged the loyalty of lifelong government servants.(3) In public, Nunes has made a concerted effort to swing public opinion against impeachment. He accused Rep. Adam Schiff, chair of the Intelligence Committee, of being a cult leader, with the media as his followers.(4) This behavior is beyond the pale, even for Nunes. He is already known for revealing classified information to the White House.(5) He's buried evidence and tried to misdirect Congress' investigation.(6) But now that the public is in favor of impeachment and the House has passed a formal inquiry resolution, instead of putting country before party, Nunes has ramped up his battle to protect Trump. We're going to ensure that Nunes loses his seat and no longer has the opportunity to play stooge to a treasonous president.
