Breaking news, John: The Supreme Court just released a decision allowing Texas’ extreme abortion ban to stay in effect.

Let’s be absolutely clear about this. The Court’s refusal to block it is *utterly* devastating for people who need an abortion in Texas.

I’ve said it before, and I will say it again: The right to an abortion is non-negotiable. Reproductive freedom is sacred, and people should have control over their own bodies. Period.

With the Supreme Court leaving the future of Roe v. Wade and pregnant people’s rights unprotected, it’s urgent that Democrats in the Senate abolish the filibuster — which is what stands between us and national legislation like the Women's Health Protection Act that would enshrine reproductive rights.

John, the future of Roe is on the ballot next year.
